At CIC Insurance, Co-operative Movement remains as our core customer base. The unique nature of the co-operative institutions requires unique treatment and insurance products tailor made for their needs. The Co-operative Marketing Division is a Strategic business unit designed provide Insurance services to the co-operative movement considering current and emerging needs.
CIC has over 30 years experience in handling Co-operative movement risks and has developed expertise in servicing the intricate and changing needs of Co-operative societies.
- CIC has stood out as the leading insurer of Co-operative Societies in the Kenyan market.
- CIC has developed information systems specifically designed for servicing Sacco risks.
- CIC is wholly owned by the co-operative movement and currently has over 1,350 institutional and over 2,400 individual shareholders with a capital base of Kshs.430M.
- The Division is headed by a General Manager, Pauline Ngari. Below her is a team of Relationship Managers and officers who interact with customers on a one to one basis.
The Division responsibility for is:
- To develop and provide Insurance products and services that are relevant to the needs of co-operatives, and their members.
- To generate and mobilize Insurance funds through premiums and shares within the co-operative movement and general public and to invest these funds in the safest way and earn the best possible returns.
- To spread Insurance knowledge and risk management to Co-operative customers so as to minimize losses and disseminate other Insurance related matters to all areas where co-operators are situated.
- To provide education and training to our customers in the area of minimizing risks in their societies and maximizing profits so as to give good returns to their shareholders. We also carry out training in the area of financial management and any other areas that we may identify.

- The Company has a wide branch network covering all major towns in Kenya besides Nairobi . viz. Mombasa ,Kisumu Nakuru Nyeri, Eldoret, Meru, Embu, Machakos, Thika, Kakamega, Kisii and Bungoma.
